The latest outing for hero and sidekick, Jak and Daxter: the Lost Frontier is an absorbing game for Sony’s Play Station Portable (PSP) platform and full of tough, exciting detail. Just look at the names: Gunstaff, a new weapon that also transforms into the Shockwave Concussor, Blaster, Vulcan Fury and Peace Maker plus the brand new feature of Daxter-jacking, letting Jak's furry friend stealthily add new parts to the ultimate customisable aircraft.

This good-looking, highly playable game contains a variety of challenges and tests, a lot of them involving aerobatics. It's also a great addition to the Jak series of video games, combining the classic actions of the first one with the weapons-based combat of later instalments.
